Piers joined 3ADAPT, following a placement with 3ADAPT and having completed his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. Since joining 3ADAPT, Piers has worked on a diverse range of projects, including engaging with local councils to groups of institutions within workshops, producing reports and sustainability reviews, as well as performing in-depth data analysis.​

Piers has also supported the carbon analysis for several organisations as well as the development of decarbonisation models and supported accompanying engagement activities.​

Currently, Piers is leading the carbon analysis and decarbonisation pathway development for B&NES Heritage Services, the independent business unit within the Bath & North East Somerset Councils responsible for stewarding the city’s heritage assets which has given Piers and insight into the difficulties faced by visitor attractions towards their journey to achieving net zero.

Piers is also currently working with the Oxford University’s Gardens Libraries & Museum (GLAM), a collaboration of four museums, twenty-seven libraries, and various gardens, who are taking a collective action to decarbonise, understanding the complexity of large-scale collaboration and the need for efficient cooperation.​

Piers has also gained experience for strategy & policy development, working with Discover South Kensington’s twenty-three institutions working towards forming a Zero Emissions neighourhood.​

Piers is passionate about engaging with organisations, industry leaders, and developers of policy to facilitate meaningful change in the sustainability landscape.

Outside of work, Piers enjoys exploring the world through cooking, discovering new music, and watching sport.
