Lauren Williams
Sustainability Consultant
BSc (Hons) | MA
Lauren holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Sheffield, followed by a Master’s in International Development. Her academic background was shaped by interdisciplinary projects exploring social policy, environmental challenges, and global development issues.
Following her Masters, Lauren worked at CARE International, a world leading humanitarian organisation. Her role, in the Advocacy and Communications Team, involved refining research papers into articles and creating content based on a variety of humanitarian crises brought about through conflict and climate change.
Before joining 3ADAPT, Lauren worked as a Researcher at Blueprint Institute, an independent think tank based in Sydney. There, she specialised in climate and energy policy, contributing to key research in net-zero grid transitions and a climate and energy blueprint for the 47th Parliament. She also led research on the environmental and economic advantages of preserving native woodlands, as well as a paper focused on enhancing sustainability across the agricultural sector. This role honed her research and analytical skills and deepened her knowledge of the complexities involved in creating effective environmental policy at both state and federal levels.
At 3ADAPT, Lauren has played a pivotal role in a variety of projects, including developing carbon baselines and decarbonisation strategies for the Royal Horticultural Society and the London Museum. She has also helped shape carbon offsetting policies for the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, developed a sustainability strategy for the theatre company Complicité, and contributed to the Health & Innovation Campus Vision at the University of Bath.
