Job Title: Impact Consultant – Project Impact Forecasting & Assessment 

Location: Hybrid (Bath) 2-3 days a week in the office.  

Salary: £40,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Impact Consultant to join our team and lead efforts in forecasting, measuring, and understanding the impacts of projects and activities. This role is critical in supporting our clients as they evaluate and enhance the long-term impacts of their initiatives on environmental, social, and economic outcomes. The successful candidate will have over five years of industry experience and a strong background in impact assessment and sustainable development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop methodologies and tools for forecasting and evaluating the impacts of projects across multiple sectors. 

  • Work with clients to establish project goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and success metrics related to sustainability and resilience. 

  • Conduct comprehensive impact assessments, gathering and analysing data to produce actionable insights. 

  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling reports and presentations for a range of stakeholders, including senior executives and community organisations. 

  • Lead workshops and training sessions to assist clients in understanding and maximising the impacts of their initiatives. 

  • Monitor and review projects’ ongoing impacts, making recommendations to enhance positive outcomes and mitigate potential adverse effects. 


Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in impact consulting, sustainability consulting, or a related field. 

  • Proven expertise in impact assessment frameworks and methodologies, such as social return on investment (SROI), life cycle assessment (LCA), and environmental impact assessment (EIA). 

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, analysis, and interpretation to evaluate project impacts. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead projects, while effectively collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. 

  • Familiarity with tools and technologies for impact forecasting, such as GIS, statistical software, or project management software. 


Desirable Skills

  • Experience with economic impact assessments, ecosystem services valuation, and natural capital accounting. 

  • Proven ability to engage with stakeholders and manage client relationships in complex and multi-stakeholder environments.
